Lauren, is a player that exemplifies all of the qualities for this award.  She has a great strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship.  Lauren did not play with our team as a junior because she wanted to focus on school.  After sitting out a full year she reached out to the coaching staff to see if she was welcome back to the program.  Needless to say Lauren returned as a senior.  She had very limited varsity experience prior to this senior season.  Lauren not only has played a major role as mentor to younger players, she gets limited playing time but continues to play a role on and off of the ice and is ready and willing to do anything that is asked of her and with a smile on her face.  Additionally she is a true competitor and will not doubt be successful in the future.
