Landon is a football player who loves hockey.  He is not the best skater, passer, or shooter, but he loves being on the ice. When he isn ‘t on the ice, he is at the door, raring to go.  He is always positive on the ice and the bench whether we are up by 5 or down by 10.  He doesn’t engage in the trash-talk or complain to or about the officials.  He’s always at practice.  He encourages and listens to all the players.  More importantly, he listens to the coaches, not just by nodding his head, but actually listening to the advice and going out and trying to do it.  He rarely complains, he just does what needs to be done, whether it’s repeating the drill (again) or picking up pucks and water bottles after practice.   He has been one of my favorite players to coach since I started coaching high school hockey.  I will miss him next year.
