Lance has been a team leader on and off the ice. He’s one of the team captains and leads through hard work, dedication and a positive attitude on the ice and in the locker room. While he was out with an injury, Lance remained committed to his team and was their biggest supporter. He supported the team during their practices by filling water bottles and ensuring practice equipment was in place. During games he remained on the bench to provide encouragement and feedback to his teammates. In addition to his time playing hockey, he spends time refereeing youth hockey games in the association and volunteering at the local Salvation Army. Lance epitomizes the characteristics of the Hobey Baker Award and is a worthy recipient.
