Keaton Weis epitomizes a Senior Captain. He embodies our Culture on and off the ice. He leads with accountability, respect, and character. Weis goes above and beyond in his school, the community, at the rink and in the locker room. Not only is he an elite high character human, but he has been a captain that plays the right way on the ice. He forechecks, he back checks, he kills penalties, and he stands at the net front in the offensive zone. He does not get all the shiny accolades some of his highly talented and successful teammates get, but he is the engine that makes them shine. The best part about that? He isn’t jealous. He is genuinely happy for his teammates when they succeed too. He is true teammate, he is a true community leader and words cannot describe the impact he will leave on the Rogers hockey program. He was unanimously voted Team Captain, a team with four division I commits and two NHL central scouting watch list players. He was voted Team MVP as a junior and has served as a captain for two season. Our team has an opportunity to have Mr. Hockey Finalists, Reed Larson Winner, possibly a miracle trip to the X at State, but truly this journey should be highlighted by an award and recipient like Keaton Weis.
