For Warroad’s senior captain, Katie Kotlowski, her love for the game came early. She found her love for the game by watching other female role models in her life. It has always been Katie’s dream to play college hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers. She made this dream a reality with her sheer determination and hard work. Katie did everything she needed to, from workouts and extra ice-time to academic achievement, in order to have the opportunity to play for the Badgers. She is a kind and caring teammate but a fierce competitor. Katie is always respectful to coaches, teammates, refs, and teachers. Katie loves her family; she loves her team; she loves her community; she loves to win; but most of all she loves the game.
