Joey is our captain, a 4 year starter for F.A. Hockey as well as a stand out football player. He has overcome adversity in his life and has certainly found a way to to be one of the most well liked and respected team members we have. His character is undeniable. He is willing to do anything a coach asks of him. His help with and respect for the young kids on the team is outstanding. He is the first person to talk and help out the new players on the team. It is with great honor that I nominate Joey Benware for the Hobey Baker character award.
