Joanie is a captain of the Pine Crest Hockey team and a standout representative in the Florida Panther Scholastic Hockey League (FPSHL). A former figure skater who transitioned to hockey when Pine Crest launched its program during her freshman year, Joanie has been a cornerstone of the team throughout her entire high school career. She has served as a tireless advocate for inclusivity, working to recruit and integrate female players into the co-ed roster.

Her leadership extends beyond her own school; as an All-Star selection in the FPSHL, she has become a mentor and connection point for other female players across the league who often serve as the sole representatives on their respective teams. Joanie is also a founding member of the South Florida Lucky Pucks, the region’s only all-girls travel program. Her dedication to the sport and her peers is immeasurable; quite simply, there would be no Pine Crest team without Joanie.

Joanie plans to attend the University of Central Florida to major in Forensic Science with a minor in Asian Studies, where she is excited to continue her competitive career on their women’s club hockey team.
