Our hockey program is a tri-op of three schools: East Brunswick, Spotswood, and South River. This will be the 4th year of the program and James Tomasini is a member of the first senior class that has played all four years. He is the epitome of character, class, and sportsmanship in ice hockey. As an underclassman, he was extremely coachable and did everything that was asked of him with no complaints and nothing but his highest level of compete. As an upperclassman he has developed into a true leader and will serve as one of our captains as a senior this year. He sets the precedent for how our players should carry themselves on and off the ice. James will always greet you with a firm handshake, eye contact, and respectful manner. He works to get better each day and motivates his teammates to do the same. He does not command respect, he earns it. When he graduates James will be dearly missed, but the example he set for his younger teammates will leave a lasting positive impact on our team culture. James Tomasini is an excellent young man and is truly deserving of the Hobey Baker Character Award.
