James Somero’s strong character showing passion, strong work ethic and leadership skills made him an easy choice to be captain his senior year. He wasn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in and he instilled a sense of confidence that anything was possible. He did all the things he expected out of his teammates and would take on extra responsibilities to ensure that everything runs smoothly. James earned the respect of his peers by working hard and setting high standards. He made sure the team showed integrity both on and off the ice to represent Bloomfield Hills in the best way possible. For these reasons James Somero is selected for the high school character award nomination
