James is the definition of the Hobey Baker Award. He represents all the same values that the award represents. James is a Senior Captain who has a passion for the game. His work ethic on an off the ice is second to none. He is constantly placing the team and team goals above anything else. As a defenseman he does not receive the recognition that other players do however, this has not stopped him from showing up everyday and giving his very best. James not only excels on the ice but has never lost sight on his academic school work and continues to be a standout in the classroom. He sets a good example for the younger player, constantly reminding them how important school is and also provides them with extra support when they need it in a class.
