Jake Stadler
2024 | Minnesota | BOYS
North Shore | Storm | BOYS
It gives me great pleasure to nominate Jake Stadler for the Hobey Baker Character Award.
I have known Jake Stadler as a “Rink Rat” hockey player for the past three years. He has always spent a great deal of time at the hockey rinks throughout the extended winter months in Northern Minnesota playing the game that he loves.
Having the opportunity of watching him grow into a mature young man, I was able to observe special qualities not usually found in student athletes his age. Jake has an incredible desire to excel in whatever he sets his mind on. He has made hockey and academics a priority. Jake is one that understands that commitment and hard work are major attributes of being successful. Those that know him cannot help being impressed with his sincerity and maturity.
Jake has always been a “Natural Leader” both on and off the ice. He has proven himself by his commitment and desire; which has trickled down to his teammates. Jake takes pride in this added responsibility and approaches it in a very serious manner. He has a great understanding of teamwork and appears to recognize the importance of the different personalities and roles that each player brings to the team. Jake is able to capitalize on this understanding of teamwork and is able to utilize this skill set to motivate his teammates. He has truly been a difference maker in re-creating the culture of a program to be successful based on leadership, attitude, character, and work ethic.
