Jake epitomizes what the Hobey Baker award stands for. Sadly we lost two players this season in a tragic car accident. Jake was best friends with Ownen Higgins and John Lavin. Jake has risen above this tragedy with his play on the ice and his leadership off the ice. Jake went from a role player on the team to the leader in our locker room. The character and leadership he has displayed has been contagious. Our team has rallied around our fallen brothers and Jake has been key in making that happen.
