Jacob Usan is the epitome of the Hobie Baker spirit. He displays excellence, sportsmanship, leadership and commitment both on and off the ice. In 8th grade, never having skated before, Jake decided he wanted to play hockey. At the beginning of 9th grade, he joined the Heritage hockey team with very limited skating experience or ability. Through hard work and determination, in four short years Jacob Usan earned his position as a first liner and as team Captain. He also showed continued academic excellence maintaining a straight A average.
