I have had the privilege to coach Jake for the last 3 years when he played hockey at Apple Valley High School. During this time he displayed a tireless work ethic and a team first attitude.  He was a great leader among his peers both on and off of the ice. For these reasons, he has been voted to serve as a captain during his senior season for the hockey team, as well as a captain for 2 years for the varsity baseball team.  Jake is also very active in other activities at Apple Valley High School. He has been involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the last 4 years (serving as a captain for the last 2), a 3 year member of our Choral Program, a member of the Latin Club, and a member of our Development Psychology Class, in which he is responsible for teaching drug prevention/education to our 6th graders.
