As a sophomore in the 2014-15 season, Jacob was the leading scorer on the Bedford hockey team. For the 2015-16 season, a new coach started at Bedford and Jacob was asked to play more of a two way game. He immediately became much more responsible defensively, offensive his offensive production suffered. He quickly became the team’s best penalty killer. He did not complain or question the coach. He just did his job and eventually the offensive production numbers came back. Jacob is now the leading scorer on the team, but is also the team’s best defensive forward and penalty killer. By subjugating himself to the team, Jacob has become a complete player and a great leader on his team.
