Jacob was a 5 year Varsity player which saw him draw several accolades for his efforts. During his career, Jacob was a 5-time letter winner, and appeared in 101 career Varsity games. Jacob was a member and contributor to one of the most successful graduating classes in Taunton Hockey history, which saw a record 57 wins (grades 9-12) and three consecutive seasons with a playoff win for the first time.

Jacob shows outstanding character traits that garners respect from everyone he meets. He is a model student and a natural leader. A leader by his actions, Jacob also has the uncanny ability to develop positive and respectful relationships with his teammates. This is a reflective effort of his resilience that keeps him pushing forward despite any setbacks that can be faced during a season and career.

What astounds me about Jacob during the time I have had the privilege of knowing him is that he has excelled academically at such a high level, being a three-sport athlete, and taking part in extracurricular and volunteer activities, while maintaining positive relationships with his team, his peers, and his family. Jacob Pereira is the epitome of what we would like our children and our student-athletes to become.
