It is an honor to recommend Century High School senior Jacob Becker for consideration for the 2015-2016 Hobey Baker Award.  I’ve come to know Jacob very well over his senior year as his coach on the Century Panthers Hockey Team.

Throughout this year at Century, Jacob exemplifies the ideals and qualities of a scholar athlete.  He shows strong leadership and work ethic in the classroom and extracurricular activities as well as on the ice.  Jacob brings an infectious positive attitude and passion in all of his activities as well as life in general.  He shows other students through his actions that hard work, positive attitude and commitment can lead to success in one’s endeavors.
