Jack Bial is an outstanding young man of tremendous character and work ethic both on and off the ice. On the ice, Jack is always prepared and a pleasure to coach. He gives 100% of himself to his team. Off the ice, Jack’s community involvement includes being a mentor, packing supplies for Haiti, and assisting the boy scouts to build benches. In addition, during the pandemic, while many focused on themselves and their families, Jack felt compelled to reach out to health care workers. He wrote letters to local hospitals expressing his appreciation for the selflessness and dedication of these professionals. It is for all of these reasons that Jack has been selected as the 2022-2023 Hamilton-Wenham Generals Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
