Ian Freericks has all of the characteristics of what Hobey would be proud of.
He has been a 4 year varsity goalie. And during that time, he has developed into an outstanding leader, both on and off the ice. He excels academically and athletically. He has won two championships as our goalie the past two seasons. In addition, he works tirelessly with our youth program (grades 2-8) as a goalie instructor.
He is extremely humble, his sportsmanship and respect for his teammates and opponents is what every coach should look for in a player, and what every parent hopes they instill in their child.
You never have to ask him to be his best, he always is.
