In today’s world, with all that a person must do to survive daily demands, it is very easy to overlook those people that meet and sometimes exceed the challenges and opportunities that they face. So I write on behalf of Hudson Abel, a four-year Varsity Hockey player who I have had the pleasure to coach.
Hudson is a young man who has demonstrated the ability to excel at whatever he chooses to do. His persistence and sincerity always sees the task to the end making sure no loose ends are left untied; even on the ice. As Assistant Captain, he was a role-model leader for our team displaying commitment, responsibility, obligation and respect. His professional demeanor and compassion for people in general bolstered our team’s camaraderie.
A dedicated student-athlete, Hudson Abel is exemplary of what the Hobey Baker HS Character represents and his love for the game makes him a deserving recipient of this award.
A true gentleman in every way, Hudson Abel is a young man with a bright future.
