Greg Sowa
2016 | Maryland | BOYS
La Plata | LaPax Ice Hockey | BOYS
This incredible young man, student, and hockey player exemplifies the true meaning of the Character Award. Greg has not only maintained a 3.5 (or higher) high school GPA in advanced placement (AP) courseware, he also participates on two ice hockey teams in his community – a AA travel team and Captain on his local high school team. Greg is college bound with his academic and hockey skill sets; he has been accepted to Drexel University, Old Dominion University, and University of Maryland. He is pursuing acceptance to his college of choice: Virginia Technical University for the study of Mechanical Engineering. Equally important, it is my honor to report that Greg was bestowed the highest rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America in October 2015. This impressive and dedication describes Greg as a committed and passionate individual of society. His impressive numbers on the ice and his leadership towards the younger players speaks volumes of his character. It would be an honor for Greg to receive this award.
