Evan embraces the values the game of hockey teaches – coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship. Evan is the ultimate teammate. He is a model for knowing and understanding your role on a team. As a player, Evan faced plenty of adversity but was always positive through it all. He is a leader by example and consistently does whatever is asked of him. He is the first one to congratulate a teammate when things are going well and the first person to keep things positive when things aren’t. Evan is always positive, extremely coachable, and showed commitment to the team by showing up every day no matter the circumstances and working hard to make himself and everyone around him better. He is a great athlete and even better person. For these reasons, he is this years Rock Ridge Hobey Baker Award Winner.
