Hobey Baker Recommendation for Evan Gaeschke

I have known and coached Evan for the last four years. I have been thoroughly impressed with every aspect of his character. He is a dedicated and enthusiastic student, who loves to learn. His work ethic academically is outstanding, and his motivation for success academically is based on intellectual curiosity not the on-going battle for better grades.

As a hockey player, Evan has become a team leader. He is the hardest worker on the ice. Evan is cool-headed and does not allow his emotions to control his actions. He is a wonderful role model for younger players and has taken on a leadership role and persona. He is always willing to do whatever is necessary for the team to be successful. He is an unselfish and inspiring player.

As Evan graduates, I know that wherever he goes, he will have a positive impact and will bring the same enthusiasm and dedication to any institution he is a part of. He will also continue to develop as a student displaying the same perseverance and intellectual curiosity as he has devoted himself to.
