Evan, the U18AA goalie, exemplifies what it means to be the team captain. He leads his team and also works to develop it. Evan has been a consistent presence on the team through all four years of high school and a critical part of keeping the team viable. Evan alone recruited new hockey players, taught them the joy of the sport and how to compete in a fast-moving game. In fact, he recruited enough new hockey players that the River High School program was able to field its first ever JV team. It did not stop there!! In his senior year, Evan became a student coach on the JV team. He has the respect of the coaches and his fellow student/players. His four years of efforts will be felt way after he graduates from high school. By the way, he has a 4.52 GPA.
