Ethan led the Dublin High School Gaels Varsity team to the playoffs for the third year in a row and although he led the team in both goals and assists, his leadership on and off the ice is the reason for this award. As a Junior and in his third year on the Varsity team which is made up of elite AAA players to A/B players as well as Seniors to Freshman, Ethan was able to bring a group of kids together on and off the ice and make the players into a team. He will be called upon again in his upcoming Senior year to lead the team after losing three key Seniors to graduation. Hockey in California has become an important part of hockey in the USA, but High School Hockey still lags behind Club Hockey as a priority for most kids. At Dublin High School, Ethan and his teammates have turned hockey into an exciting sport for the students and packed the rink with horn-blowing, sign-toting, and screaming fans at every game. He and his teammates will be called on once again to take the California High School Hockey experience to the next level. He is ready for that challenge and will work with his teammates (including his Freshman brother and teammate) to build on the legacy they have begun.
