Hockey and athletics are not the only place where Ethan’s dedication and hard work are evident. He exhibits the same characteristics in the classroom with his academic excellence, community involvement and service to his peers. In addition to being a multisport high school athlete, participating in golf, hockey and track, Ethan serves as a USA Hockey Certified Level 2 referee where he supports his local youth hockey organization through refereeing youth games. Academically, he excels in the classroom where he’s currently ranked 3rd out of 321 students with a 4.3595 GPA and is a member of the Aberdeen Central High School National Honor Society. During his free time, he works as a math tutor to serve other students. Additionally, he recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and participated in the South Dakota American Legion Boys State.
