Countdown to Hobey:

Eric Olson

2018 | South Dakota | BOYS

Watertown | Lakers | BOYS

Eric is a head to toe extraordinary person in so many ways. He is a four year JV-Varsity hockey player for the Lakers, while having a 4.252 GPA, ranking third in a class of 297 students. Eric is planning to attend SDSU or NDSU aiming to Major in Electrical Engineer and Minor in Computer Science. AP English Language and Composition, AP Biology, AP US History, AP Calculus, AP US government and Politics, and Spanish I-IV are just some of his course highlights throughout his high school career. In the community he is involved with Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church teaching Sunday School and being an Altar Server. He has also worked with Habitat for Humanity. He also helps mentor young Laker players in Wee-wobblers, Mini/Mite, Squirt, and the Big Brother program teaching tomorrows future of the game of hockey. Eric is a multi-sport athlete playing tennis for the Watertown Arrow Tennis Team. Eric is very dedicated to everything that he does and shows great compassion towards whatever he sets his sights on, in the classroom, community or on the ice. He is the voice of reason and a great problem solver, willing to help anyone with the biggest or smallest of challenges they face. It has been my great pleasure to be a part of Eric’s high school hockey career and look forward to seeing him excel at everything he does in the future.
