Emma Brunelle is one of two senior goalies at Warroad High School. Both goalies have to compete with each other every week for the starting spot in the next game. Most of the time it is Emma, but occasionally it’s not. Emma always keeps a positive attitude and is supportive of her teammates, even when she is not in the net. She has an incredible attitude and is always respectful to coaches, as well as, teammates, refs, and teachers.
Emma works hard on and off the ice. Last year as a junior, she was the starting goalie for the Warriors. Even though she was never asked, Emma would go to JV practice every day because she knew the coach needed a second goalie. Some days that meant spending 2-3 hours on the ice. Emma was still able to stay on top of her schoolwork. She is the top of her class, valedictorian. Emma spends countless hours volunteering in her community. She can be found every Sunday, helping out in some way at church. Emma loves her team; she loves to win; but most of all she loves the game.
