Emily is the a 4 year varsity Senior on our team who demonstrates exceptional coachability, teamwork, commitment, sportsmanship, and integrity. She upholds the values of Hobey Baker with humility and quiet strength. She may not be boisterous like some of her teammates, but provides a quiet leadership through her actions. For 4 years, she has showed up to nearly every practice and game, except for when illness kept her away from the rink. She is always willing to listen to what not only the coaches have to say, but her teammates as well. While she may not have played the most minutes or scored the most goals, Emily demonstrated what it means to be a great teammate by filling her role with the utmost of effort. While she is feisty on the ice and not afraid of a good battle, she also managed to play the entire season and be one of very few players to not earn a single minute in penalties. Coaching Emily for the past 4 years has been such a rewarding experience and I, for one, can not wait to see what the future holds for her.
