Ellie has been an integral member of the Eastview Lightning for the past 5 years. She has done everything we have asked her to do as a player. She is a leader on and off the ice. As a senior, she was selected as our team captain because of her leadership qualities and her work ethic. Sadly, Ellie tore her ACL in the late summer and could not play her senior year. She remained our captain and attended every practice and game unless she had physical therapy. Her commitment to her teammates was awesome to see each and every day. On Senior Night she was able to dress in uniform, warm-up with her teammates, get introduced in the starting line-up and lined up to start the game as well, but came off the ice immediately. Her smile on that night said it all. Even though she couldn’t play, just getting on the ice one last time with her teammates demonstrated her dedication and commitment to her teammates.
