Integrity and Positive Attitude:
Ellie Lauderdale has a powerful quality about her. Ellie knows herself, is very comfortable with herself and is extremely outgoing. Ellie never gets flustered or thrown off balance with where she is heading and who is around her. All the girls on the team from 8th to 12th grade all look up to Ellie because of her positive attitude. On and off the ice it’s Ellie that we all look to keep us all moving in a positive direction.
Coachability:
When it comes to coachability Ellie portrays excellence in this category. You can’t be coachable if you don’t have the previous qualities. Ellie will ask question’s to get a clearer view of things but never question in a manner that degradable. Ellie is always a charm to have on the ice at every practice.
Outstanding Sportsmanship:
Ellie demonstrates great sportsmanship in so many ways. Ellie will always follow coaches instruction, Encourages her teammates, play’s as a team player by cheering each player up and is excited when others do good. Ellie accepts judgment calls, respects opponents and officials, wins without gloating and really learns from her mistakes. These are some of the many qualities that Ellie demonstrates every day she is at the rink.
Community Spirit:
Ellie is a 3-sport athlete and is very active in with her school. Ellie will try to watch all her peers in their sports to cheer them on with there activities. Ellie is very active with a “Learn to Skateâ€_x009d_ program. This program is in Lakeville and runs every Saturday during the year from 8am – Noon. These are all first time skaters and Ellie has a huge impact with all these skaters and they all look up to Ellie because of whom she is. Ellie has a great following from all of her students along with Ellie being nominated to the Home Coming court! When it comes to community spirit all the kids at Lakeville High School look to Ellie for her leadership!
