Elli is passionate about hockey and has demonstrated that she is willing to give more to the game than most players. She rarely misses a practice, works hard in every drill, and is committed to building a team culture that will last longer than just her time in the program. Additionally, she started her high school career playing defense on the JV and at times was needed to move up and play forward in case of an injury, then as our team struggled to find a goalie for the JV she was willing to put on the pads more than once and fill in so that we could keep the JV season afloat. And as an EBUG (emergency backup goalie) she proved to be the best and most athletic one we could have in the net without really any practice. As she moved closer to the varsity position the versatility of being both a forward and defenseman has been important to the overall team success. She has never complained about the constant changes in positioning and where she is in the lineup. She has consistently put the team first in everything she does and embodies what it means to be a team player.
