Ella is the player every team needs and every coach loves to have on their team. She shows up and works. Ella has a quiet and shy personality but on the ice she is a true competitor. She never backed down from a challenge. There are many definitions of character but it seems the traits a person with character has doesn’t deviate very much. Integrity, Respect, Caring for Others, Grit, Resilience, Self-discipline to name a few. Ella exemplified all of these EVERY DAY the past four years and in return, she gained the respect of everyone around her. She leads by example in everything she does on and off the ice. She is an exceptional student and treats others the way she would want to be treated. You could say she lives by the Golden Rule. My favorite thing about Ella, however, is that you never see her without a smile on her face. She could have had the worst day and you would never know it because she shows up with a great attitude, treats everyone with respect and does it with a smile.
