Alternate Team Captain Dean Testerman is a true leader. His character is sound, intact and commands respect on and off the ice. Although not a point leader for the team, he was the team leader in PIMs, those minutes were earned with relentless work, more often than not, clearing space for his goaltender. Dean’s commitment to his teammates is only surpassed to that of his family and his education. The eldest of four boys, he has set the bar high by consistently reaching above a 4.0 GPA and subsequent acceptance to the United States Naval Academy. A short list of Dean’s extra curricular activities are Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, National Honors Society, Its Academic Team Member and Model United Nations. When its all said and done, Dean Testerman will leave with a high school hockey career with out a state championship, without a MVP Award, and honestly, without a winning record. What he has left our hockey family with is a friend, a brother, a son, a big brother, a D Partner, a free ride, an open ear, an earful, a good chirp, an easy target, a movie reference, a smelly locker room, countless great memories and 10 very, very proud coaches and managers that are now family.
