Danica embodies what it means to be a leader. Being her hockey coach is an honor and I know the impact she is leaving on my younger girls will last forever. She is a captain of our hockey team and a true leader at Marshall School and in her community. She exemplifies the characteristics of what it takes to lead a group of young athletes to success. She is hard working, positive, and puts the team first. She cares about each one of her teammates and the people around her. Our younger girls look up to her and the characteristics she has. She pushes them to be the best version of themselves on and off the ice. When our team is down she lifts them up and encourages them to do better. She doesn’t point fingers or get down, but instead, is the first one to motivate the girls to keep going. When we are having success, she’s right next to them cheering as loud as she can. When Danica is off the ice, she is volunteering in her community, not as a resume builder, but because she cares about others and is invested in making the world a better place. She is also a captain of the tennis team and showed that hard work and determination can take you far. I am so proud of Danica and I am honored to be writing about her. She is an amazing role model for her team, Marshall School, and our community. Her hard work and true role model characteristics will take her far in life!
