Cory is an outstanding young man that truely displays what this award is all about.  Cory is a caring individual that is willing to do anything for his fellow teammates or peers.  He has a zest for life that lights up a room no matter what the situation.  Cory lost his father in the summer of 2012. Despite his heavy heart, he went out for his Varsity hockey team.  Why? Because he knew his dad loved the sport and loved being a Sailor.  This is Cory’s 2nd year with the Varsity program.  He has grown into being an inspirational leader through his actions, heart, and leadership.  It is a true honor to be able to bestow this type of award to a young man that has perservered through life’s hardships with such a humble and grateful attitude.
