Cooper Miller is a coaches dream and the consummate professional on and off the ice. A senior goalie, Cooper has been a Varsity starter for three of his four years of high school hockey. This season was a trying one for the program given the volume of talented seniors who’ve graduated in recent years, but Cooper never waivered in his professionalism and dedication to leading the team into the fight game in and game out. As a goalie, Cooper made 40+ saves
on six separate occasions, including stopping 59 of 64 shots in an overtime loss. As the season progressed and our defense was hampered by injuries and illnesses, Cooper advocated that he play out and help wherever he could in the lineup — not looking out of place in the process. Cooper even relinquished his final start in net because, in his own words, it was “…what the team needs.’ Cooper’s positive attitude and excellent work ethic were infectious over the course of the season and his legacy will transcend his final year with the program. It was a pleasure and privilege to coach him this year.
