Christian is always respectful and shows leadership with his teammates. His teammates voted him Asst Captain last season and he was always a positive force on and off the ice. Most importantly, his peers looked at him as a leader and someone they could look up to for our team values. His character is beyond reproach and he has a level of maturity that shows up in his personal values. He respects others, leads by example, and clearly knows the difference between right and wrong. He understands the value of making sure his teammates are in a positive frame of mind and pulling in the same direction for a common goal.
He puts the team first over his individual goals and is personally unselfish. You can see it in his game – a pass first mentality, does the little things well, and he follows team rules. He is as happy for a teammate’s goal as he is for his own!
He is respectful of the game, his peers, opponents, coaches, and people at the rink. Respect is the most important character trait that we demand from our players and he role models this trait. He also has a very high Hockey IQ for the game – understands how players need to work together, moves the puck quickly, sees space, makes the outlet pass, and is very consistent.
Christian attends Union Academy and has a 4.0 GPA. He is the son of Lisa and Brad Hoffman of Matthews NC. Christian is attending University of North Carolina Wilmington in the fall and will major in Management & Leadership and he hopes to play Club Hockey.
