Charlie has displayed excellent leadership, setting an example with his continuous work ethic, passion for the game, and competitive nature.  The aforementioned traits were passed along to his teammates through hard work on and off the ice.  In addition to his leadership on the ice, he also excels in the classroom as an Honor Roll student athlete.  Throughout the course of his 4 year career with the Eskymos, Charlie has matured as an individual and a hockey player, being a student of the game.  Charlie’s true competitive nature and leadership attributes set an excellent example for his fellow team mates, classmates, young hockey players in the association, and fans throughout the community.  Charlie has volunteered his time in the community for many different organizations throughout his high school hockey career.   Charlie’s respect for the game and character make him an upstanding student athlete, therefore an outstanding candidate for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
