Parkway West Hockey’s 2026 nominee for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award is Camden Wilford. Camden displays all the characteristics which the Hobey Baker High School Character Award celebrates.

Camden’s character and commitment over the last four years has undoubtably had a positive impact on the club. In his time in the program, he has been consistently present, always paying attention, and constantly working to improve his game and impact on the ice. He has the respect of both the coaching staff and his peers – which was further evidenced by a nearly unanimous vote to become team captain his senior season. His leadership style and abilities in that role, and his consistent leading by example, all further his qualifications for this award.

Camden is also a two-sport athlete, with all of his positive attributes contributing to the lacrosse team as well.

Beyond athletics, Camden’s high school career is highlighted by accomplishments including a 4.2 Cumulative GPA, Vice President of Parkway West’s Class of 2026, and President of the National Honors Society.

As the Hobey Baker High School Character Award committee believes “character makes the game better,” Camden’s character has undoubtedly made the Parkway West hockey team better each of the last four years.
