This young woman has shown tremendous growth in leadership during her five year career as a member of the Shakopee Girls Varsity Hockey team. She has earned the respect of her teammates, classmates and coaches because of her consistent work ethic and positive attitude. Brooke Hespenheide embraces the values the game teaches- coachability, strength of character, commitment, community building, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship. She is a young woman with integrity who has shown immense and steady commitment to and appreciation for her teammates and coaches as a member of the Girls Varsity Hockey Team. She is also an active volunteer in our community, dedicating her time to the Shakopee Girls Youth Hockey Program, Feed My Starving Children and Special Olympics philanthropic events. Brooke’s community spirit and leadership make her an excellent recipient of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
