Brian is playing his first year of varsity hockey after taking three years off from the game. He played the first six games as a forward until an injury to a teammate caused the coaching staff to move him back to defense. Brian accepted this role ready to learn and has developed as one of our best defenseman and is now an All-State and All League candidate. Halfway through the season, Brian proved that he would be a great captain and the coaches decided to make him an assistant captain. His hard work in the classroom has earned him an All-State Academic award (3.58 cumulative GPA). Brian is the perfect example of what we look for in student-athletes at Southgate.
