Brett played JV hockey his freshman and sophomore years at St. Francis. Despite not making the varsity team his junior year, he showed character and determination, making the varsity team his senior year as a defenseman. Along with hockey,Brett was a member of the varsity volleyball team his junior and senior years.
Brett also excels in the classroom. He is a member of the National Honor Society and attends the Gifted Math Program (GMP), an after-school, advanced mathematics program for middle and high school students at the University at Buffalo. –
Brett always volunteers at school functions. He is a member of Raiders Against Cancer, a club at St. Francis High School that was created to spread cancer awareness, educate St. Francis students on ways to prevent cancer, raise money and honor or remember the lives of those who have been touched by cancer.
Brett is a fine young man and is deserving of the honor of being the Hobey Baker 2016 High School Character Award recipient for the St.Francis Varsity Federation Hockey team.
