Brett Baugh
2022 | Colorado | BOYS
Castle View | Sabercats | BOYS
Despite certain personal difficulties, Brett has made tremendous contributions to the Castle View High School hockey program due, in large part, to the quality of his character. Brett began the 2021-2022 season as a high-level junior hockey player. After his father contracted and became severely ill with COVID, however, Brett moved home to Castle Rock to be with his family and decided to join the Castle View hockey team. Not all talented hockey players are great fits on all teams, especially on teams that may be below the skill level that a player is used to. This is not the case with Brett. He immediately fit in and endeared himself to his teammates through his unparalleled work ethic and through his leadership by example. He has made our team better not only by way of his remarkable skill but mostly by the quality of his character. There is no one more deserving of the Hobey Baker Character Award than Brett.
