Avery Heyer has been selected for the Hobey Baker award for several reasons. Over the years, Avery has had to over come several adversities in which she has done so with with a steady and calm demeanor. Through everything, she has continued to stay committed and dedicated. Avery continues to stay positive regardless of what life has thrown at her. The coaching staff of the Waconia Girls Hockey team could not be more proud of Avery and feel she is the very definition of what the Hobey Baker Award stands for.
