Arica has become a whole new person in the last year.  Her maturity, character, and leadership has far exceeded the coaches expectations.  Arica started hockey as a 9th grader and had worked extremely hard to be the best player she can be.  She has never been the points leader on our team, but that has never deterred her from giving it her all.  This can be seen off the ice as well.  Her school work has improved greatly as she has set goals for herself beyond high school.  Her leadership in the locker room and on the ice has has been a huge boost for our team as we work to create better team chemistry.  Arica is a good teammate to all players, not just her friends on the team.  I am honored to nominate Arica Svoboda for the Hobey Baker as it is an award she is very deserving of.
