April has been selected as the North Shore Storm’s Hobey Baker High School Character nominee because of her outstanding qualities as a teammate and team leader. Because of her strong leadership qualities, April was named a team assistant captain and has earned the respect of her teammates and coaches as a result of her selflessness, strong work ethic, and positive attitude both on and off the ice.
April leads by example; each day she comes to the rink with a smile on her face, ready to work hard and do her best. She never gives up; not on herself, nor her teammates. Her love of the game has helped her overcome injuries and her love of her team has helped her become a role model to younger players. Off the ice, she treats everyone with kindness and respect.
April’s sense of integrity, commitment to her team, and passion for the game make her the most deserving player for this award.
