Anthony’s dedication as a student-athlete is evident by his success on and off the ice. Anthony carries a 3.0 GPA and was selected as a Team Captain for his Senior season. Anthony has earned varsity letters in cross country, hockey and lacrosse and was the recipient of the Most Improved Player award for the 2022-23 Varsity hockey season. Throughout his high school career Anthony has been able to balance academics, the rigors of competing as a three sport Varsity athlete while volunteering for the Try Hockey for Free Program, the Mentor Youth Hockey skills sessions and the Okicki Hockey Camp. Additionally, he has spent numerous hours fulfilling other volunteer opportunities that are assigned through Mentor High School Cardinals Parent Club as well as the Mentor City Fest. During hockey season, Anthony spends time as a scorekeeper and timekeeper at our arena’s adult league games and for Mad Man Youth Hockey Tournaments. Anthony is well respected by the coaching staff, his team mates and is a positive role model for the younger players in the program. Anthony offers selfless encouragement to his peers. This coupled with his positive attitude, work ethic and commitment to succeed make him an excellent recipient of this year’s award.
