Annaliese began her hockey career as skater and quickly fell in love with the game. During her first season, she volunteered to be the team’s backup goalie and in her first game in net faced over 50 shots losing the game 14-2, but when she came off the ice she could not have been happier and at that moment fell in love with goal tending. Annaliese displayed great character in never giving up, and even encouraging her teammates, despite the score or how many shots she faced. Her love for the game translated into her organizing a now annual girl try hockey event at the local rink. Last season while making a save, Annaliese suffered a potential career ending hip injury that would ultimately require surgery. The road to recovery demanded all of her character, perseverance, and dedication to endure physical therapy and rehabilitation enabling Annaliese to return to the ice less than a year from the initial injury. On and off the ice Annaliese is an ambassador for the game inspiring those around her to try new things, and be the best they can be, no matter the task.
