Alyssa is a co-captain of our team and exemplifies exactly what the Hobey Baker Award is all about. She is a great leader on and off the ice and shows leadership by example and by her respect in the locker room. She goes above and beyond expectations and always puts her integrity and team values above her own.
Alyssa has been instrumental in helping guide our new team to success. This winter Spring Lake Park and Coon Rapids signed into a new cooperative agreement so within a couple months we were two programs combined as one. Alyssa and her leadership and acceptance of both teams of girls really helped shape a culture of acceptance and becoming a one team front. The girls instantly got a long because of Alyssa’s leadership and showing the girls how to handle adversity and treat one another with respect. She is a huge part of our team and the players and coaches really respect her for all she has done to help make our team successful.
